India

Hello bloggers! This week's blog topic: Culture. For my country, I have selected India. India is a country in South Asia. It's culture basically consists of many ancient traditions combined with new additions to their herritage. Some examples of acient traditions include arranged marriages and the establishment of the caste system. Some additions/ changes to these traditions are that now, some Indians get a bit of say in their spouse, and the caste system is now considered to be illegal, but the effects are still lasting and present in today's society. India's major language is Hindi, and the major religion is Hinduism. Women typically wear saris, while men wear dhotis. The most famous building is the Taj Mahal. The most popular types of music are Hindustani and Carnatic. THIS. IS. INDIIIAA.

Reflection: Hello, bloggers. I recently have been up to lots of procrastinating. Last week, for spring break, my friend and I went to Beaver Creek for some skiing, and it was a blast. Then after we got back, I went with my other friend to her Grandparent's farm. There I was kicked by a horse. Lovely. I am presently sitting next to Keren Brickman. She is preeeety awesome. So, now that school has started again, I have been been picking up on soccer again and preparing for the Speech and Debate Show Case (P.S., you should totally but a ticket from me...for the low, low price of $5 :) )That isss alll. Love, Claire
